The Apple Mac OS X Lion Gold Master is now available to developers. Lion was announced at Apple’s WWDC this June without specifying any release date. Its final release may be arriving by next week at a price of $29.99.
The highlights of the OS include the “LaunchPad”, an application manager designed after the iOS Home Screen, enhanced multi-touch support, AirDrop file transfer and many more.
In order to upgrade to Lion you need to have the latest version of Snow Leopard i.e. OS X 10.6.8 on your Mac, which was released by Apple few weeks back.
The Mac OS X Lion can be downloaded by registered developers from Apple’s Dev Centre.
