Facebook App for iPad has been Blocked
We had reported earlier that Facebook app for iPad had been found inside the iPhone app and it could be run on jailbroken devices. But now it has been learnt that Facebook apparently has now blocked the app. But you are among those lucky ones who have already activated the app, you can continue enjoying it while others will now have to wait for the official release.
Marvin Bernal, the Toronto student who was the one to discover the app, has also tweeted about its blocked log-ins, “It appears that Facebook has disabled logins through the ‘iPad’ version.”
A lot of iOS developers form a universal binary that installs device-specific versions on both iPad and iPod rather than posting separate files on the App store. The same happened in this case where the Facebook app for iPad was hidden inside Version 3.4.4 for iPhone.
Now we will just have to wait till Zuckerberg officially announces the release of the app for iPad. We hope that it will be something in near future.
