Courtesy Android Police and RootzWiki we have received pictures of Google’s latest Android upgrade the Ice Cream Sandwich running on a Nexus S phone. The images show a revamped notification bar, new launched and app drawer and a blue color scheme. The changes seem to be in sync with Honeycomb.

As reported earlier the Ice Cream Sandwich brings a unifying platform for both mobiles phones and tablets. The new Interface seems to have been adjusted just for that since it seems more spacious with more distance between app icons and their names.

The notification bar now has bigger icons and updates while the app drawer has also been modified to add different sections for apps and widgets. It also features an integrated grey Market link to take you to the Android marketplace in Honeycomb.

The Android Police have also detailed some more features:

  • “Camera now has a panorama mode (not pictured)
  • Gmail has been totally re-themed to go with the new OS (not pictured)
  • Nexus S will be receiving ICS via update, but the “Nexus Prime” will be getting it first
  • Mostly UI changes – many older devices (< 1 year old) should be able to run it”
