Foursquare Rolls Out Tip Lists Feature
Foursquare, the location-based networking site has launched a new feature called the Tip Lists that allows users to bundle together their best tips into lists. Creating lists has always been interesting for people. Now Foursquare has tried to improve on this experience and provided more focused and integrated listing system to users.
Tip Lists can either be created and managed individually or they can be shared with your other contacts. They are meant for both brands and individuals. Businesses specially would be interested in utilizing these Tip Lists to keep their customers updated. According to Jonathan Crowley, Foursquare’s director of business development,“With Lists, brands, businesses, celebrities, and other organizations can easily organize and share their expertise and insights with our millions of users.”
Creation of lists on Foursquare is pretty simple. An option is available on your Foursquare Profile to start making lists. Right now this functionality is only available on the Foursquare website. For its mobile app, the feature will be rolled out later. But users can view them on mobile from the To-Do list tab and the Notifications Tray lets users find out which of their friends are following the same lists.
Launch partners have already got their Yip Lists. For example Lucky Magazine has its Favorite LA Home Stores, MTV has its Hot Music Video Locations and People Magazine has built one for Star-Gazing Spots!
So start curating your lists and let us know how you find this new feature!
