Foursquare the location-based networking site with it’s over 10 million users could not have been more happier than with the addition of this one user i.e. Barack Obama, the President of USA. As the President embarks on an economic bus tour across Midwest users can follow him across his tour from through “Cannon Falls, Minnesota; Decorah and Peosta, Iowa; and Atkinson and Alpha, Illinois.”

The announcement was made by the White House:
“The White House is now on Foursquare, a location-based social networking website, which is the latest way for you to engage with the administration. There are over 10 million people already “checking in” around the world, and now you’ll be able to discover “tips” from the White House featuring the places President Obama has visited, what he did there, plus historical information and more.”

The White House will be updating n Foursquare regarding the President’s visit. They will be creating checkin locations for various events. In fact the first tip was posted on Monday about the speech that the President made in Cannon Falls, Minnesota where he talked about “ways to grow the economy and strengthen the middle class with a crowd of 500 people.”

Foursquare’s Tip Lists is a latest feature that allows users to bundle together their best tips into easy to manage and follow tips. So it seems like the White House is all set to make the best of these Tip Lists and keep people updated on the President’s activities’ across the tour.

Foursquare should be expecting more of President’s followers joining in to keep track of him. That would mean a boost in Foursquare’s user base as the election campaign starts to gain momentum.
