iPhone 5 Releasing on 7th October, with Pre-Orders Starting September 30th? [Report]
With the release of iPhone 5 nearing we keep getting more and more reports about a launch date in October as also reported earlier. According to latest bit coming from TiPb Apple is all set to launch its much-awaited iPhone 5 on 7th October. As further reported by 9 to 5 Mac Apple is considering either 7th or 14th October as the launch date for iPhone 5 with 7th October being more likely since iPhone is smoothly going through the latest stages of pre-mass-production.
9 to 5 Mac also has reports about the pre-order:
“Apple currently plans to begin pre-orders for their next-generation smartphone in the final days of September. The company has still not finalized the pre-order start date, but is debating between Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th. The 30th seems more likely at this point according to one of our sources.”
Apple is believed to be bringing out both its prestigious iPhone 5 as well as a budget iPhone for the Fall release. The iPhone is expected to include Apple’s dual-core A5 processor, an 8 megapixel camera, and iOS 5. The low-end iPhone 4S is rumored to be a prepaid one, also called iCloud iPhone according to some reports.
With the current round of rumors the October launch date seems quite likely. But then again Apple keeps making changes to its plans so we cannot be sure but for the time being October 7 seems a safe bet.
