Microsoft to Bring Windows 8 App Store
While development work on Windows 8 has been going on for a while, Stephen Sinofsky posted a blog entry where he introduced the Windows 8 development Team. It has now been revealed that Microsoft also plans to introduce a Windows 8 App Store just like the Apple App Store.
While mentioning the various teams working on Windows 8 , one was of the “App Store” so obviously the App Store is on the cards.
An earlier screen shot of the Windows 8 also had a Store button, which was also meant to take users to the App Store but it was not officially confirmed. Now in an indirect manner Microsoft has brought out the news in the public.
As reported earlier Windows 8 is quite different from its predecessors. It draws a lot from the Windows Phone 7 platform as it also has the touchscreen feature. However, the traditional Windows homescreen is also available for older PCs.
With Apple bringing its new OS Lion via its App Store, a trend seems to have been set for a move in this direction. This will definitely be a convenient feature for all Window users out there.
