Samsung has unveiled three super-stylish smartphones of its Wave series which will be based on its Bada 2.0 OS. The phone are: Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y. the phones are to be put on display at the IFA trade show to be held in Berlin from 2-7 September.

Bada 2.0 is Samsung’s own OS featuring multi-tasking, Wi-Fi Direct, voice recognition and NFC.

The new additions to the Wave portfolio are the first to benefit from the power of our bada 2.0 platform; the full extent of our commitment is clear to see in each device. We’ve produced easy-to-use smartphones that will inspire the market,” – JK Shin, President and Mobile Communications business

The specifications of the three phones are as under:

Wave 3 Specs:

  • 1.4 GHz CPU
  • 4-inch VGA Super AMOLED screen
  • Comes in a 9.9 mm metallic casing
  • 5-megapixel camera
  • 3 GB of memory
  • 32 GB microSD slot
  • WiFi / Bluetooth 3.0

Wave M Specs:

  • 832 MHz CPU
  • 3.65-inch HVGA screen
  • 150 MB of storage memory with a 32 GB microSD slot
  • WiFi / Bluetooth 3.0

Wave Y Specs:

  • 3.2-inch HVGA screen
  • 832 MHz CPU
  • 2-megapixel camera
  • WiFi / Bluetooth 3.0

 

The three Wave phones will also feature Samsung’s new free messaging service ChatOn. No details regarding their price or availability are yet known. We will update you as soon as we hear something!
