Apple had released its Photo Stream beta on wednesday and interestingly it’s instructions contained a new iPhone 5 icon that looked nothing like the iPhone 4. In fact it hinted at an iPhone 5 design that seemed to be confirming earlier rumors regarding a larger screen and an elongated Home button.

Creating a mockup based on the icon’s dimensions gives us an edge-to-edge screen. The following rendered image has been put forward by 9to5mac who believe that the icon actually represents the cheaper iPhone 4.

The image actually shows an iPhone that is shorter than the iPhone 4 with a screen size of 3.7” approx.

Macrumors has also produced mockup images based on the new icons and their renders somehow confirm the images earlier created by Macrumors base on Chinese case designs and reported by us in one of our posts. These latest renders also hint at a possibly shorter and thinner iPhone with a larger screen. Macrumors earlier images also suggested a screen smaller that 4.”

With the release of iPhone coming closer more and more information seems to be leaking and making its way out to us. So lets wait and see what the actual iPhone 5 and budget iPhone 4 will look like!
