Google Launches Google Flight Search [Video]
Google acquired the Boston based airfare software company, ITA last July and started offering flight schedules from May this year. Now Google has further ventured into the arena of air travel and launched its Flight Search for a selected number of cities initially including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas. Delta, JetBlue, Continental and American are among the participating airlines.
An Early look at the service was provided on Tuesday by Google.
“Starting today, when you search for flight information on Google, for example “flights from Chicago to Denver,” you will see a “Flights” link in the left-hand panel. This link leads to our new Flight Search feature”
The service includes features like options for number of stops, airline choice, connection choice, and specific times. Some of these features are not yet functional though.
