Microsoft: Mango Coming Out Within a Fortnight
For those of you who have been waiting for the official release of the Windows Phone 7.5 codenamed Mango, here is some good news. According to Windows blog:
“For months, we and dozens of our partner companies have been laying the groundwork for the Windows Phone 7.5 update—and making solid progress. As a result, we now expect to start rolling it out in the next week or two. At that time, we’ll also refresh the Where’s My Phone Update? table to reflect the worldwide rollout status.”

After Microsoft rolls out the update, all handset manufacturers will also provide matching firmware, so that various Windows phones and apps can work with the updated software. In order to avoid any problems Microsoft also advises to stay away from “bootleg updates and home brew tools.”
Nokia, HTC and Samsung all will be be launching their smartphones based on Mango. HTC launched 2 phones recently HTC Titan and HTC Radar. Samsung Focus and Focus Flash are being launched by Samsung.
Nokia already has announced that its Windows Mango will be the OS of its smartphones.
With the release of Mango we should hope to see these smartphones soon.
