It looks like the reports regarding the announcements of iPhone 5 on october 4th were actually quite authentic, since there is more evidence to support the release of iPhone 5 in the second week of october. According to AppleInsider, Apple is not giving out any vacations to its employees during the second week of october which is a clear indication of the release of much awaited iPhone 5:

More specifically, the iPhone maker has in some locations blacked out vacation time for employees from October 9th through 12th and October 14th through 15th, according to people familiar with the matter.

Since the black out period is broken into two blocks i.e. from 9-12 october and 14-15 october, according to the same website the first block might be reserved for the release of iOS 5. The same scheme of events took place last year when Apple first released iOS 4.0 on June 21st and later released iPhone 4 on June 24th. The same happens with the release of iOS 3.0 and iPhone 3GS.

Now we are assuming that Apple would follow the same pattern this year and iPhone 5 may be launched on 14-15 october. The release date of 15 October has also been confirmed by CEO France Telecom. Earlier Sprint had also blacked out vacations for its employees in october in the wake of iPhone 5.

So the stage is all set for the release of iOS 5 and iPhone 5 with in next few weeks. Hang on tight as we bring you the latest from Cupertinoland!
