How to Change Mission Control Background in OS X Lion
Mission Control is a feature in Mac OS X Lion that presents an at-a glance overview of all the window, docs and workspace simultaneously. It has a standard gray fabric background, which is not changeable but in case you want something different, we have a guide for you below:
1: launch Finder and go to System/Library/CoreServices and locate Dock.app.
2: Right-click it and choose “Show Package Contents”
3: From within Dock.app, navigate to Contents/Resources. Locate defaultdesktop.png and rename it to defaultdesktop-old.png.
Mission Control will now display Andromeda Galaxy, the standard OS X Lion desktop background.
4: Leave Dock.app as it is and go to /System/Library/CoreServices. Back up DefaultDesktop.jpg and replace it with the file you’d like to set as the background for Mission Control.
5: Log out and log back in and you will be able to see the changes
