Google Gives a Revamped Look to Gmail
Google has brought some radical changes to its Gmail giving more control to users so that they can change the look and feel according to their choice. These changes were announced via a blog post on Tuesday. Users will find a Switch to the new look in the bottom-right of Gmail.
Conversation view has a new design now with profile pics appearing next to email threads.
Users can also choose the density on their screen manually on decide whether they want more or less space between their emails.
Users can also choose from a variety of HD background pictures.
“Themes have been completely rebuilt to enable us to bring you a new set of beautiful high resolution themes with imagery provided by iStockphoto.”
The navigation bar on the left has also been made more customizable so that users can adjust labels and chat areas. Arrow keys can now be used to navigate through the interface.
Another new feature is the search feature – users will now have access to Advanced Search by simply clicking the search bar.
“Click the dropdown in the search box to see a new advanced search panel, which makes it easier and faster to find exactly what you’re looking for. You can use the same panel to create a filter from any search in just a few clicks.”
