RIM’s Co-CEO Jim Balsillie unveiled a new social sharing service called BlackBerry Tag during his keynote presentation at the GITEX conference in Dubai. It is a new and exciting way to connect with BlackBerry contacts and share information and multi-media content with them.
RIM has finally taken the BlackBerry App World 3.0 out of its beta and made it officially available for download. The beta version was already available to members of Beta Zone for over a month. The updated version includes a redesigned interface allowing faster access to content.
Good news for BlackBerry fans out there, Blackberry Torch 9810 will be finally arriving on AT&T on 21st August. Being one of the 3 models that were introduced by RIM few weeks backs, the Torch will the world’s first 4G BlackBerry and will have HSPA support.
Remember we had reported earlier this month about the latest BlackBerry models that had been unveiled by RIM i.e. BB 9930, 9810 and 9850. Two of these, BlackBerry Bold 9930 and Torch 9850 are now coming to the US carrier Sprint on 21st August.
Details regarding RIM’s much awaited QNX-based smartphones have been leaked. The first QNX phone is called BlackBerry Colt as reported by BGR and it is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2012 and currently it is in the testing stage with the company.
Three new BlackBerry smartphones have been introduced by RIM: Bold 9900/9930 and two new Torch models, BlackBerry Torch 9810 and 9850/9860. All these models run BlackBerry 7 OS.
The first video of upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9790, which has been codenamed ‘Bellagio’ has appeared. The phone is not very much different in design from the BlackBerry Bold 9780,the main difference is that it runs BlackBerry OS 7.
Adobe’s recently released update to Flash Builder 4.5 and Flex 4.5 software enable developers to code apps for Android, iOs and BlackBerry, which is based on QNX.
RIM has started working on the development of Blackberry’s higher-end smartphones, which will run on QNX-based OS. In fact it is reported by TechRadar that RIM already has the prototypes ready.
BlackBerry App World version 2.1.2.15 was released by RIM only last month. But there was apparently a glitch in the software since some users were missing the BlackBerry App on their phones with OS 4.6 and 4.7.
Now BlackBerry App World version 2.1.2.19 has been released by RIM, which will fix the problem. [...]
